Smilies in Shoutbox?

Is there anyway to include smilies in the Shoutbox? I had seen this on another forum and it definitely make the chat area more fun.

You can already use smilies in the shoutbox, there are just not buttons for it.

Apparently only the basic ones. I've added a bunch of extras, that it just returns the text...

If you use the right code it should work fine, as it uses the phpBB code for rendering them.

this is a great extension, but without a smiley-picker i think the smiley-support is nearly useless, because we are conditioned to allways insert them with a GUI and most users for sure will not remember many smiley codes without seeing them.
Is there an easy way to include a smiley-picker?
